There are many factors affecting
the price. Prices vary from about $200 for a small sign with
just a touch of carving. to several thousands of dollars for an
elaborately carved double-faced commercial sign.
Typical, single-faced, "End
of the Driveway" signs are between $500 and $700.

All of our signs are
weatherproof. You have probably seen some old signs that look
pretty beat up from the sun and elements. Those signs were made
of wood, which is likely to deteriorate over the years as the
paint becomes brittle and flaky allowing moisture penetration.
But in the past, wood was the only material available.
But new
technology has introduced High Density Urethane, the modern sign
material. HDU has a very dense cell-structure that is unaffected
by the weather. It can't absorb moisture, and it won't warp or
crack - the main causes of paint failure.
All of our
carved signs are made of High Density Urethane.

Usually at no
extra charge we can insert microscopic glass beads in the finish coat of
paint. This is the same technique used on reflective road
markings. The beads reflect oncoming lights, giving your sign
great night time visibility for emergency vehicles and visiting
in-laws.

Smaller signs (less than 10
square feet) are delivered by Priority Mail. Larger signs are
either shipped by common carrier or delivered (within 100 miles
of our shop in Maine).
Some of our clients opt to drive
up to our shop and pick up their sign. Your visit will always be
welcome and we'll put on a fresh pot of coffee or tea before you
arrive.

Your sign will love the weather
and requires little maintenance. Once in a while you can wash it
with water and a little dish detergent to remove the accumulated
dirt from the air.

Generally we ship completed signs
within 6 weeks of the order.

The first step is to get an idea
what you need. You can begin this process by browsing through
our web site to see if there are any signs that appeal to you.
Of course, your sign will be unique.
You may contact us by
e-mail or by
phone (207-743-9533). We take our display on the road a few
times during the summer. Our Summer Schedule is found here.
Whether we talk in person or by
e-mail, I will help you to walk through the process of
determining your special requirements - size, shape, colors,
budget, etc.
